2000 altima catalytic converterretrospx 01-01-2006, 11:53 AM anyone know how difficult it is to replace the cat. on a 2000 altima? dealer wants to charge a friend $700 to replace. that sounds like about $500 in labor to me, but perhaps i'm missing something. will it have to be on a rack to get to it? isn't there just a set of bolts (and gasket) on the exhaust manifold side, and another set of bolts on the exhaust pipe side? or is there a weld in there? sethstyle16 01-01-2006, 09:58 PM its just the 4 bolts holding it on. $700 is crap. you can get those bolts off, but it will take some work. if they are like mine, they are just rusted on pretty good. goodluck with that vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
