A freind just told me that Nissan has discontinued production of the 200SX. The reason was that no one buying the 200SX except for Australia and Japan. Is this correct ?

The latest Version of the 200sx/sylvia was avliabe in New Zealand as well, and I believe it was also sold new a few other south east asian and pasfic countries.

However since Nissans take over by Renult they have been forced to cut down on the large number of sperate platforms they were useing.

Sadly this will almost garuntee the death of the 200sx, and a press release was issued by Nissan last year to this effect.

No the reason has all got to do with strickter pollution rules in Japan and sadly the SR20DET just can no longer comply that is why the SR20VET is on it's way, bad sadly it is true no S16:(

So all the reason to own a 200SX then. its gonna become a classic :( too bad by the time I can afford one then too late !
