Bed replacement option '74.

I recently bought this '74 and its a driver and will never be a show car. The bed is rusted through in several places and I would like to hear about some alternatives to cutting out the old and replacing the entire panel. I am thinking about planking it with oak strips and making it like some of the older pickups with the original partial wood bed. I have seen several PU's like this at car shows and I think it would look good. Does anyone have any other alternative ideas? It looks good and is fun to drive otherwise.

although i seriously frown upon not wanting to restore such a beutiful classic car, the better option would be to actually weld in small replacement segments of sheet metal so the rust doesnt spread anymore and then cover it with that wood or possibly a bed liner.

Hey,
Rhino Lining is always a good idea.
Mines great.
Have fun!
