how do i remeve the brake rotor???????1stgencrx 12-26-2005, 11:40 PM i need some help. i need to take off the brake rotor. i removed the wheel, took of the brake caliper, took of the center spindle, the little skrew on the rotor itself and it still wont come off. i dont know if i would halfto remove the whole axle or something. if you could please give me some info on how i would be able to remove the rotor... anyone? please. lxndr 12-27-2005, 11:51 AM Once you swing the caliper out of the way and remove the 2 screws in the center of the rotor, it should come right off. It's probably rusted on so try hitting it with a rubber mallet. 1stgencrx 12-28-2005, 02:15 AM unfortunately that dosnt work, i tried that already and it wont budge. thanks for the advice though it's just getting me so frustrated couse i dont know what to do. thank's anyway. lxndr 12-28-2005, 11:48 PM soak it with "PB Blaster" or any other kind of rust buster. 1stgencrx 12-29-2005, 04:14 AM i got it off!!! finaly. i had to use a whole spray can of lube and a small sledge hammer. that rotor was seriously rusted on badly. well thanks for the advice. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
