ok first off im building an sr20det powerd240sx hatch back, witha s15 converted front end, the place putting the engine in wants to upgrade to a front mount intercooler. if i do this, will it affect the conversion? i hear that u need hood, fenders, lights, and bumper, i also heard u need core supports or something but i dont wanna swap the engine, buy the front end ,and then have it not fit b/c of the front mount intercooler. also, if anyone has a s15 converted 240, wht did need to buy? thanks alot guys

Most FMIC's will not fit with the stock bumper so that's why you will need to get an aftermarket one to get it to fit. The piping should route through to the engine bay with no problem. This somewhat depends on the front bumper that you get because they are shaped differently and on some the piping may hit the bumper. If this is the case where the piping did hit the bumper then you could have piping custom made for it or you could shave some of the bumper off depending on how much you would need to take away.

I have quite the same plans as you sil80 lover;) talk to ViS Racing (http://www.visracing.com/) the should be able to help you with that sort of question or Masa Motorsports (http://www.masamotorsports.com/) but I don't know if you get an answer (I'm waiting since 05/19) from them:(
Basicly you can ask any shop who sells the conversion! That's the way I got most of the information as in Europe there's no single one who did this!

the s15 conversion is a aftermarket fiberglass bolt on. You will need the bumper, hood, fenders, all 3 parts are fiberglass and last but not least, the oem s15 headlights. don't do the conversion until you drop the engine, so then you will know if any modifying will affect the conversion.

- you'll need also the supports for radiator and frontbumper.
- IMO if you put in a SR20DET there shouldn't be any worrying about fitting the conversion as the SR is stock in Jap and they do the conversion alot:bandit:

You don't have to go fiberglass, I wouldn't. Fiberglass doesn't hold up all that well, and you don't want your front end to be entirely made up of it if you're daily driving it.
They can take your OEM fenders and cut them in half, then take the S15 fenders and do the same. They then fuse them together so they fit on your car... it's expencive, but that's another option. Like it was said, MASA makes some fenders. if you don't care about how much you spend you can easily go with an OEM S15 hood and front bumper.
You'll also need the headlight harness and radiator restraint.
