so i was skating down the road and a turbo wrx not sti drives by with a hole cut in the hood and 2 gauges sticking out of it? what possibly could those gauges be?

No real reason, I've seen it done on muscle cars....I think it's more for the 'hey look at me' factor than anything.

isn't ther gauges that you actually cant put in teh car like a fule pressure thing or somgthing i dont know???

If the fuel pressure gauge is electrical, why couldn't you put it inside the car?

Are WRXs wired for boost guages? I am trying to sell my del Sol and I want to get a WRX (Just got a promotoion at work. I am 18 so a manager at fast food and living at home means WRX!) Just wondering, I have never had a turbo car, and I am not about to turbo my car...I don't know much about the wiring for boosted cars.

WRX's are wired as an option, although it's not that difficult anyhow.

On the muscle cars it was common because most sanctioning organizations wont allow you to have fuel and oil lines inside the passenger compartment, so with a mechanical guage it's the only place you can stick it and read it.
I have a mechanical oil pressure guage in my center dash guage pod though
