Oooopsmrlindeman 12-24-2005, 08:38 PM  I did it this time. :? I adjusted the idle stop screw for the throttle butterfly on my 87. I just found out that you are not supposed to mess with that thing AT ALL. Im not sure what to do about this. Should I just take it to the dealer and have them adjust it to spec? Car runs bad and fixing the idle has become even more difficult now. :x lxndr 12-25-2005, 12:05 AM This is not a problem. Adjust it until you reach a normal idle RPM. I've had to adjust this screw many times. What are your idle problems? mrlindeman 12-25-2005, 12:19 AM This is not a problem. Adjust it until you reach a normal idle RPM. I've had to adjust this screw many times. What are your idle problems? When the car is cold and i start it, it shudders and wants to die unlesss i give it a little gas. then it goes into the warm up high rpm, 2000 rpm then settles down and acts ok. I have been trying to get this damn thing tuned ever since i put the new cam in. Timing is perfect but i need to adjust my vacume advance, I have just put a new one in and it seems to lag a little when applying throttle. How should i set it? any ideas? I fixed the stop screw. thanks, i was sweatin. lol. My guess is i need a new o2 sensor since the car runs rich now too. :smokin: vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
