Yes i may be purchasing a 1994 Honda Civic - i think its a dx- i dont know much about honda's. But i think its a 1.5 in the car?doesnt say on the valve cover. But i would like to swap in a bigger engine possibly a 1.6 vtec or 1.8 vtec?what all would i need?

another dumb question but how can i tell what engine is already in it?

The engine code is stamped on the front of the block, right where the block meets the transmission. It's a flat plate and will read something like D15B7 (<-the engine code) and a bunch of useless numbers below. Like here: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v473/CivicSpoon/plate.jpg
