New guy looking for S2000 infokleecker 12-23-2005, 10:52 AM Not new to performance cars, boats, and motorcycles........... but it's been a while since I've been in a financial position to be able to add a performance 4 wheeled street legal vehicle to the stable. After some basic research, I have decided that the S2000 fits the bill for me - used prices are quite reasonable, and it appears to be a blast to drive on the track. Could someone please provide a list of (useful) S2000 links? Other bulletin boards, etc... No plans for major mods. Also, anyone here into sport bikes? I've attached links to a few video clips from this past season on the track. I run an '04 Yammy R1 (dual duty, street and track) at Pocono, PA and Summit Point, WV. These are large vidoes, some 15 minutes of on-bike footage - please only d/l if you are actually interested........ bandwidth costs. thanks, Mark http://s94800254.onlinehome.us/videos/motorcycle/LocalRiding_Oct_2005.wmv - street riding on very familiar roads (50MB). http://s94800254.onlinehome.us/videos/motorcycle/Summit_Oct_10_2005.wmv - track day session @ Summit (50MB). http://s94800254.onlinehome.us/videos/motorcycle/Summit_Main_05_23_05_NearHi-Side.wmv - close call on T10 @ Summit (short) http://s94800254.onlinehome.us/videos/motorcycle/Summit_Oct_10_2005_NearHi-Side.wmv - close call on T3 @ Summit (short) RSX-S777 12-23-2005, 12:27 PM Christ. Just watched your street riding vid- I'm afraid the S2000 is going to have a hard time competing.... honda-tech.com has a good S2000 board worth checking out. Also check out streetfire.net for S2000 race vids if interested. Good luck kleecker 12-23-2005, 01:15 PM Christ. Good luck thanks. lol - didn't get to that level of riding overnite and would not want a car with that much mojo or I'd be dead meat in no time, wrapped around a tree. I DO love the sound of a high reving inline 4 (e.g. Jap bikes, S2000), and constantly banging gears, staying in the powerband...... The S2000 seems a natural (4 wheeled) extension of a Jap bike............. with similar reliability (ride hard, put away wet). Although you might have a hard time getting the S2000 to pop a wheelie, i still think it will be a good car for you. I have driven one, and they are a blast. The responseivness is awesome, much like a bike is (i'm guessing, never driven a bike) and the agility of the car is amazing. It won't disapoint. And if it does, you can always just make it faster :P. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
