My buddies 585whp Civic... Interesting night!

My buddy WG just got his '92 Honda Civic together last night (Over a year in the making)... The car is competely built from the ground up:

-Golden Eagle full bottom end (over $6,000)
-B16A Head, fully built by Supertech, GSR Camshafts
-S80 Type-R Transmission
-Walbro 255 FP, Aeromotive FPR, RC Engineering 1,000cc Injectors, HONDATA S300, AEM 5-Bar MAP
-Full-Race ProStreet Turbocharger kit with a T3/T60 Turbocharger

Dyno'd out at 585whp on low boost... With the T4/T67 Turbocharger, and upgraded Fuel Pump, it will throw down 800+whp.

Anyway, we were all chilling at our new spot, and someone starts talking about WG racing the fastest DSMs in town (Also in the top ten fastest DSMs in the nation, 3rd and 7th), so they come out, and we all head out to I-40 for some 3rd gear pulls.

We leave in waves to avoid the rest of the crowd following us (We went out for some racing earlier in the night, and we had about 30 cars following us) my buddy gave me bad directions, so it turns out we're 12 miles behind everyone else, and we get a call telling us we better catch up, because they're starting to slow down... Damn, so I gun it, climb up to 130MPH and just cruise all the way up to the group, right as I start getting close, is when I see it... And hear it... The worst noise ever.

WG was lined up with John (John's car runs 10.10 at 140MPH, Here's a video of John up at Coastal (http://videos.streetfire.net/iPlayer.aspx?fileid=A8A58D4D-C510-4723-9DA8-1685C5D6C5C6)) John puts it to WOT (With John's car, his nick-name is "When you hear it spoolin' up, you better hit it!") and the car starts charging up, WG nails it and starts loosing traction at 80MPH and starts pulling, right when John's about to start pulling on him... BOOOOOOM... He drops back with flame spitting out of the engine bay. Right after John gets out of the way... Here comes Jason. Jason's car's best ET in the Quarter Mile is 9.2 at over 150MPH, the car is an absolute monster, nothing in North Carolina has come close to touching it on the street. Anyway, WG gets set back up, gives him the three honks, and takes off, all of the sudden, right when Jason is starting to hit boost... The SAME thing... BOOOOOOOM... "Oh Shit, he blew his Shit up, pull off, he blew his Shit up!"

Both cars seperated the head from the block... Something that happens often when you're running as much boost as these two. It's not big deal though, they have gotten used to fixing these cars... Problems occur when you're running over 800whp.

But it was an amazing night... I've never seen a Civic pull so hard. I've got a rear shot of the car flying all over the road at 150MPH+... It's insane.

He just got some Mickey Thompson Slicks and Weld wheels... The slicks are so bad Ass, he can run 0psi in them. :eek:

He's hoping for 10s, expecting 11s. He needs to get some track time before we see any real crazy numbers, but be sure... They're coming. :evillol:

i just read in.... modified (i think) it had a blue civic hatch, itr front end conversion, with 404hp on pump gas, and he ran a 10.6 in the 1/4.... so if hes got 200 hp more, and knows how to drive and can hook it up, he could probibly run a 10 flat

i'm sure he has traction problems.....those little hatches are amazing w/ short of 500whp they can take anything on, but more than that and they start almost slowing down.....

There's a guy in Fargo that has a 654whp GSR and he cant seem to hook it up and get a good time ever..... power+FWD=burning rubber and slower than expected 1/4miles

no kidding, that calls for some serious slicks running very low psi, and then let's hope you have the valvetrain work right so you don't snap something. I pretty much have the same problem with my truck, such a light end that I can't get it to connect and I just burn them off or bog down.
