hicdave7654 12-20-2005, 05:17 PM Wondering if someone can help meout. I need to change the thermostat in my 1998 Windstar, but can't seem to find it. Can anyone please help. Thanks alot Dave phil-l 12-20-2005, 05:28 PM The thermostat on my 2000 Windstar LX 3.8 is attached to the engine, just below the throttle body (I'm guessing you probably have a 3.8). Remove the air filter assembly for easier access. Thermostat replacement on a Windstar is fairly straightforward; not a tough do-it-yourself job. While you've got the thermostat out, take some extra time to flush and fill the rest of the engine coolant. I have detailed pictures posted......but make sure to get the correct temp. rating for your '98. http://community.webshots.com/album/201931518cScpNK vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
