Radio reception/Rear Screen

I have another issue which has been identified since getting the car (see Laguna 6 Speed box).
When I put the rear screen demister on I loose radio reception. The car has one of the short "bee sting" aerials at the back of the roof and I am surmising that it has an active amplifier to boost received signals as it is so small - which in this case may not be working.
Has anyone else experienced this phenomenon?
