Cdljkp7777 12-17-2005, 09:55 AM I have a qquestion about CDL's. My friend and I are going into business with each other and starting an excavating business. He has a 1977 C60 Chevy dumptruck ( 23,000lbs) and a Ford 555 Bucket loader. I beleive that when driving the dump truck you do NOT need a CDL. When I hook a trailer up to this truck though, to pull the Bucket loader, would I need a CDL? If so, what type? Any light shed on this would be great! Thanks, John CRUZN69 12-19-2005, 09:34 AM If it's under 26,000 GVW you don't need a CDL jkp7777 12-20-2005, 08:47 PM If it's under 26,000 GVW you don't need a CDL I realize this, but does GVW mean the trailer also and the contents of the trailer? vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
