'93 626 Manuel stucking in gears.kjbuente 12-17-2005, 05:17 AM I'm a noob to this fourm so parden me if I do something wrong. (probaly will at some point  )! I just recenly got a '93 Mazda 626 though a trade of my old '82 buick regal. For the shape that it was in, and the fact that I love this car. I could not refuse. Before I got the car, the person that I got it from informed me that the tranny need work, and a few other things. So I took it on a test drive and I did noticed that the tranny need some work. At the time the 5th gear felt like it was completly gone, like it was grinded out. I really did not care because I do a lot of city driving and I rarly get about 45 MPH. I drove it for about a week, did some minor repairs and adjustments. Then the tranny started to stick in it's gears. I could play with it for a while (A long while)! and it would finally leave the gear it was stuck in and had to be forced into the correct gear that the time. With having some mech skills and come from a long line, (5 generations to be exact) of mechanics. I know that this is not a good sign. So basicly all I need is for somebody to verify what I am thinking. I belive that the 5th gear has been broken and pices of it is preventing me from getting in to and out of gears. Can any one verify this? P.S. I am also looking for a owners manuel for this car. If you can spare with your I'll pay for Shipping. Or if you know your technology, scan it into your computer and send it via PDF format. PM me and I'll send ya the e-mail address. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
