can someone please help me i recently purchased a wrx 05 model and a want to do some modifications to it i recently put a rear muffler on it and a gfb bov. i now want to make it quicker wats a safe boost level 2 boost it for and everyday driver?? ive been told you cant boost a new wrx as the computer will stuff up is this true??or am i better off getting a ekutek tune on it? i would prefere to get a full exaust system and boost it a little does any1 now if this is safe or do i have to get a ecu??

The max safe boost level has been discussed before, the search feature should answer your question.

If you are asking what you're asking, then you need to get uppipe, TBE, ECU remap (cobb AP, ecutec, utec, etc.) and go from there.

you can get a TBE without an ecu but you wont be getting the most potential out of your car....your stock ecu kind of re-learns itself and takes some HP away from the gained TBE so i suggest getting an aftermarket ecu and tune for its max potential

im a prime example, i drove my car with a TBE and stock ecu for about 3 months and i could kinda feel it was slowing down cuz the stock ecu was re-learning around it, so when i got my utec and tuned it all out it was HUUUUUUUUUUGE difference, like night and day, pulls really nice down low and in the midrange

i wouldnt boost more than 16.5 on the stock turbo either
