CivicSpoon 12-10-2005, 07:28 PM kicker1_solo 12-10-2005, 07:33 PM yeah, there's all different kinds, all pretty much custom. doesn't really do anything more for performance than the standard aftermarket header, basically for looks http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v651/seanziolko/IMG_1005.jpg http://webpages.charter.net/richardkruger/pics/RMFheader2.jpg http://webpages.charter.net/richardkruger/pics/RMFheader4.jpg eclipser2001 12-10-2005, 08:06 PM well all i know is, all you see is 4 180 degree bends, 2 rows 2 collums. damn, the lack of detail im able to give is killing me. knorwj 12-10-2005, 08:21 PM are you talking about a header used for turbo applications? Schister66 12-10-2005, 08:55 PM http://i33.photobucket.com/albums/d61/Schister66-2/ramhorn.jpghttp://i33.photobucket.com/albums/d61/Schister66-2/evo6_sized.jpg http://i33.photobucket.com/albums/d61/Schister66-2/tp03.jpghttp://i33.photobucket.com/albums/d61/Schister66-2/top_mount_mani.jpg any of those the ones you're talking about?? kicker1_solo 12-11-2005, 01:05 PM http://i33.photobucket.com/albums/d61/Schister66-2/ramhorn.jpg any of those the ones you're talking about?? I think that one fits his description the best FI  pepsihatman 12-11-2005, 04:13 PM That type of header is specifically designed for a turbo. Each tube is an equal length, and it makes the turbocharger spool much faster. (I think it has to do with the exhaust gas from each exhaust port hitting the turbo at the exact same time and with about the same velocity) It's really important if you are using a really large turbo (those usually have major spool issues) and it can help a lot with 1/4 mile times, and just overall engine/turbo responce. eclipser2001 12-11-2005, 06:51 PM yeah thats tho one, what are they called? Schister66 12-11-2005, 07:21 PM turbo manifolds.....that Nuekin mani in the pic is generally called a ramhorn.... pepsihatman 12-12-2005, 02:29 AM yea, there is no real special name that I know of. I call them equal length turbocharger exhaust manifolds. Schister66 12-12-2005, 10:27 AM there are a couple of different styles and they all have their specific names..... http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=490574 there is a section in that write up about turbo manis and it gives their names....i'm still not done w/ that damn thing!!
