hello,

my brother owns a 1990 bmw 535i, recently the waterpump started to leak so he decided to change all the hoses for the cooling system, which went well, but we cannot get the fan clutch assembly off the water pump, the pump is still attached to car, we dont have the special ultra slim tool, but we did take 2 nuts off the pulley and we modified a tool to fit, we can block the pump so it doesnt spin, we tryed jamming the other 2 nuts left on the pulley, and we tried blocking it from in the inside, so blocking it inst a problem, the problem is we had the fan clutch replaced not to while ago, and apperently the mechanic tightend it to tight, and then the engine itself tighended it more(suppose to do), and we cannot get it loose, we have tried some type of spray that suppose to loosen bolts and nuts, but no luck, so can anyone tell me how they got theres off in such situation, my brother is probably going to make a home made tool to lock the water pump, and eventually buy the ultra slim tool, but we neeed help ASAP!!!
