brakes on 1999 camraymarioboy1943 12-09-2005, 07:27 AM My brakes when their is snow on streets do not always work and after driving two or three blocks will not work when engaged get a popping noice like they are trying to engage. I may have to engage/ pump the pedal rapidally at times and nothing happens the car won't stop. then they suddenly work again. I am concerned about this as I may rear end someone, cause an accident. Does anyone else experience this or have any idea what is going on. this ony happens when roads are wet with snow this doesn't happen during normal weather conditions. only when roads are wet and messy with snow. I would appreciate any advice i can get. And get your car to a good mechanic. I just can't beleive you would put yourself and and others at such risk. Brian R. 12-20-2005, 01:53 PM Actually, I assumed he was describing his anti-lock functioning. marioboy1943 - Do you know it's not your anti-lock brakes functioning? AccordCodger 12-20-2005, 06:34 PM Now wait - does your pedal go to the floor? If not, you're describing exactly the symptom of SKIDDING! If the pedal DOES go to the floor, you have a master cylinder problem. Get it fixed NOW. Your profile doesn't tell us much. Have you been driving long? Have you driven in snow before? vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
