CivicLeader 12-16-2005, 02:42 PM I just got the new 06 350z. I was just wondering what the difference between the 287 HP and 300 HP cars. **Manual Transmission: 300hp **Automatic Transmission: 287hp CL caviman69 12-18-2005, 09:44 PM Didnt the past years have 287hp in the manual trans cars also CivicLeader 01-16-2006, 12:21 AM Yes... they went to 300hp for the mt this year... '06 cl LittleFlyBoy 03-24-2006, 11:17 AM Biggest difference you might notice if you are tuning the engine or adding some gauges, is the wideband O2 sensors. If buying a Air/fuel gauge watch out for that (I didn't:banghead: ) Onno VQuick 03-24-2006, 09:04 PM The 300hp VQ35DE is a new version called the 'Rev Up.' It revs higher, up to a full 7000rpm(vs 6400rpm in other versions). Changes include: *A revised intake system *Stronger internals(connecting rods and crankshaft) *Exhaust Continuously Variable Cam Timing(vs just on the intake side in other versions) The engine produces 300hp and 269lb-ft. Although the peak torque figure is lower than the older version, it is produced across a wider rpm range. The higher redline also allows a driver to stay in a certain gear longer, which is useful on a race course. ZuLater 05-04-2006, 08:56 AM The 287hp varieties redline at 6600rpm, not 6400. The new rev-up produces 260ft-lbs of torque, not 269. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
