I ve seen other research that said fuel line magnets are a waste. BlenderWizard 12-08-2005, 05:01 PM and, damn, 4-6 weeks for delivery? it's been 15 years since I've heard of a place doing that BlenderWizard 12-08-2005, 05:12 PM Alright, I found a place that has them for $199 + $7.50 shipping http://www.midtnmarine.com/products.asp?cid=Energycel+Fuel+Saver chuck16 12-08-2005, 05:29 PM I've got some old Hard Drive magnets I might try and rig on to my fuel line to see if they have any effect but, that won't be until the holidays. :D BlenderWizard 12-08-2005, 05:33 PM I have a friend who is a mechanical engineer, and he says those things are totally bogus corning_d3 12-08-2005, 08:47 PM yeah, i agree with blenderwizard....I remember the infomercials on these... "It breaks up the fuel molecules into smaller pieces for better atomization." Who's the dude with a microscope and a clear fuel line, watching this process happen, hmmmm? spackelman 12-09-2005, 08:20 PM Guys, Go to the dollar store, pick up magnets, trace your fuel line with them, then wrap with foil. Test your mpg, i.e., change your driving habits. Then throw the magnets in a plastic jug and sell for 300 bucks. You must include directions and some engineering data. Sit back and collect the bootie!! Post any results I will be the 1st one to invest. DOES NOT WORK DOES NOT WORK DOES NOT WORK BlenderWizard 12-09-2005, 08:46 PM Yeah, so how is it that a magnet affects something that is non-ferrous? Your telling us that this bad boy really works?? Get your $$ back if it doesn't work....right??? I do track days and your right, with all tracks being at least 250 miles away, it would really help out. sreve 12-11-2005, 02:31 PM Yeah, so how is it that a magnet affects something that is non-ferrous? yep, what he said! sounds like snake oil to me. chris023 12-12-2005, 09:05 AM So I guess it's guaranteed? Your telling us that this bad boy really works?? Get your $$ back if it doesn't work....right??? I do track days and your right, with all tracks being at least 250 miles away, it would really help out. I have no idea if this works or not. Just adding more fuel to the fire. Perhaps someone has already tried this and can enlighten us. The tracks are 2-6 hrs away for me, so it would pay for itself in one race season. I didn't see anything about guaranteed results either. robjen 12-12-2005, 09:10 AM If you want to try magnets, go down to walmart and buy the cheapest drill you can and tear the magnets out of the motor. Then duct tape them around the fuel line. $15 fuel saver. Oh, be sure to let us know how you trippeled your gas mileage and gained 100 hp. lol vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
