Greetings All
I have a 2005 Silverado LT 4X4 all the bells and whistles. I am thinking about a snow plow for the truck. I am looking for information regarding the best plow, what damage can I expect from plowing, etc...
I am going to use it for personal use you know my drive , dad's drive, daughters drive etc.
Any help or guidance would be greatly appreciated

First off, If you do buy a plow, get a boss, I'll never buy anything but! In fact I just bought a brand new one last week, the HID headlight option is worth every penny if you end up buying one!

There are many that will tell you its going to ruin your suspension, tear up your transmissionm, ect... But if your not planning on doing any commercial plowing and as long as you use common sense (ie take the plow off when you not using it, come to a full stop before going from drive to reverse, ect) you'll be fine! Ive had plows on my last 3 trucks (95 Silverado 98 Silverado and now my 05 Silverado) without a single problem... Just make sure you check with your insurance company to see that its covered and ok to use for plowing. One other thing, if you leased, theres a good chance you will violate the contract by installing a plow!!
