i want a gsr but if i cant find one what would u get? gs or ls?Bboy_Jon 12-07-2005, 08:01 PM Ya i would love a gsr but as of now theres no gsrs onautotrader so which would u get? ls or gs? (is there another one besides type r?) in the fact, im a lil confused, did it say the ls/gs is better for turbos then a gsr? Schister66 12-07-2005, 08:52 PM personally i think the GSR is better for boost....the higher compression compensates for the loss of low end power...there are stock engine GSRs that are making 300-350whp. Keep looking around and eventually you'll find a GSR.....i did! Bboy_Jon 12-07-2005, 09:09 PM stock gsr with 300+ ? dont they have stock at 170 or somethin? CivicSpoon 12-07-2005, 10:10 PM He's talking about a boosted GS-R and the power the stock internals can handle. But the only differences between the LS and RS are the different standard features and options. Bboy_Jon 12-07-2005, 10:17 PM so ya which would u get/ so theres rs, ls and gs right? iVteC_PoWeR 12-07-2005, 10:30 PM ls gs and rs have the same motor...just different options so lets say one might have power windows and the other one wont...so there may be a slight difference in weight Bboy_Jon 12-07-2005, 11:35 PM well ya but if U had to pick between them which would u get? which one has the best features (do u think) knorwj 12-08-2005, 12:39 AM GS is fully loaded, same as GS-R minus the more powerful engine. RS is base model LS is between RS and GS Bboy_Jon 12-08-2005, 12:49 AM kk so basically gs is more of the Super luxury model? rs is the lightest sorta? and ls is somewhat luxury model lol CivicSpoon 12-08-2005, 12:55 AM go to www.edmunds.com (http://www.edmunds.com) click the year you're looking for and look at all the specs (like weight) and features. CrxFreak91 12-08-2005, 03:59 AM there is a difference in the gearing of the trannys between the rs and ls i heard the ls is the best tranny iVteC_PoWeR 12-08-2005, 09:27 AM there is a difference in the gearing of the trannys between the rs and ls i heard the ls is the best tranny you sure about that? Schister66 12-08-2005, 10:48 AM what are you planning to do do the car?? If you're going to boost, i would look for a GSR. Otherwise just get any of them, but i would prefer the LS over the other 2.... knorwj 12-08-2005, 12:17 PM there is a difference in the gearing of the trannys between the rs and ls i heard the ls is the best tranny RS/LS/GS all have the same drivetrain, i.e. same engine, same tranny, etc. Just different options such as power windows, wheels, color trim, cruise, etc. PS: I believe the RS model was dropped somewhere mid 90's so don't try and find a 2001 RS because I don't believe it will happen. knorwj 12-08-2005, 12:21 PM what are you planning to do do the car?? If you're going to boost, i would look for a GSR. Otherwise just get any of them, but i would prefer the LS over the other 2.... Why would you prefer an LS? thats just silly. I'm sure the price difference between a GS and an LS is minimal. And if you tell me weight savings i'll slap you:icon16:. Schister66 12-08-2005, 12:52 PM EDIT: GS over the rest just because of the options you can get....i wrote the wrong model earlier.... I would try get the Special Edition GS too because i think they have a sunroof.... Bboy_Jon 12-08-2005, 02:04 PM well ya i would like to get a turbo for one, but ya if i cant find a gsr i dunno Schister66 12-08-2005, 04:42 PM what's your budget for the car and all the stuff you put into it?? Boost isn't cheap! Bboy_Jon 12-09-2005, 01:01 AM well im gonna spend 3-5 k on the car itself and then ya i know itll take a few months to save up for a turbo :( but ya my friend was telling me it would be bad to put a turbo in a car with over 100k miles, is that true? cuz alot of the cars in my range are around 100k-120k+ Schister66 12-09-2005, 04:51 AM it depends on the compression and leakdown test...if you boost a car that isnt in great condition, you're asking for problems Melt 12-09-2005, 07:16 PM rs is basically a type r without the motor or the suspension. Its that light Ls is coo Gs is an ls with leather LS and GS both got sunroof. Ace$nyper 12-09-2005, 08:53 PM rs is basically a type r without the motor or the suspension. Its that light Ls is coo Gs is an ls with leather LS and GS both got leather. oh shit melts BACK. Schister66 12-09-2005, 09:11 PM just get the damn GSR...:p Bboy_Jon 12-10-2005, 12:52 AM ifi can find one, um u said gs is an ls with leather, then gs and ls have leather? Melt 12-10-2005, 03:25 AM i messed up i meant to put they both got sunroof and yea im lookin around on here a little bit ... aint nobody gonna come at me in the INTERGRA section vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
