2001 3500 heated seats

I have a 2001 3500 with dual heated seats, if i turn on the passengers seat it goes on with no problem, but when i turn on the drivers side the light on the high heat blinks for 40 to 60 seconds then goes out without the seat heating up. I removed the dash cover and reversed the switch wires with the same result. what else can i check?
