There is an ABS brain box under the passenger seat which can tell when the brakes are starting to lock up and then controls the brake line pressure to keep that from happening. As fast as 20 times per second. It became avalible in 1994. The good part is that it stops you faster than locked up brakes and it also allows you to steer while you are braking. It's a great thing to have until something goes wrong with it, then, you have to take it somewhere to get it fixed. Kinda like power windows and door locks. They're great until they go out. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
