That was such an awesome video of it! http://www.abc.net.au/rural/content/2005/s1523680.htm Cant find a link for the vid.I just saw it on the news. travis712 12-04-2005, 11:44 PM Yeah I saw the video. Pretty damn cool, a video should be on abc, cnn, etc, i'm busy right now, or I would look(busy yet im posting on AF, hmm). Moppie 12-05-2005, 12:02 AM Evening news just started here, it won't start in Ausie for another 2-4 hours. Most of us have been at work all day, and metors in Ausie are not that big a deal, that actualy very common. travis712 12-05-2005, 12:21 AM Evening news just started here, it won't start in Ausie for another 2-4 hours. Most of us have been at work all day, and metors in Ausie are not that big a deal, that actualy very common. This one was, special..yep. I have no idea why it was on the news all night. Damien 12-05-2005, 12:31 AM ^cause it looked so super cool!!! ya think NASA or someone would have told the news, well...Aussies "No worries mate. it ain't what ya think." :p Jet-Lee 12-05-2005, 10:17 AM that's from May........ dugie6551 12-05-2005, 10:35 AM I saw it on the BBC News yesterday ... It looked interesting, but not "life changing" knorwj 12-05-2005, 10:45 AM i'm confused. From the conversation you guys are acting like it just happened but the article is dated May? Is it the wrong date or are you guys just getting around to talking about it? Damien 12-05-2005, 11:28 AM Dang, and i trusted google. Aniwho, naw the one that was on the news just happened, saturday i believe. people thought the end of the world was coming. twospirits 12-05-2005, 12:07 PM that's from May........ i'm confused. From the conversation you guys are acting like it just happened but the article is dated May? Is it the wrong date or are you guys just getting around to talking about it?Get with the program people, the date formatthey are using are date/month/year so the article is dated Monday December 5th. Besides May 12 was a thursday. As for the meteor/night sky flash of light occurance, I actually think it was Moppie who farted and caused a meteorological phenomena. :evillol: TS out dugie6551 12-05-2005, 12:28 PM As for the meteor/night sky flash of light occurance, I actually think it was Moppie who farted and caused a meteorological phenomena. :evillol: TS out BWHAHAHAHAHA !!!!! Moppie farted !!!  Moppie 12-05-2005, 10:21 PM I think someone needs to smoke less crack. Oz 12-06-2005, 12:07 AM I saw it on the news the other night. It looked like a meteor streaking across the night sky. Definately not life changing. -Davo 12-06-2005, 09:12 AM My enitre life has change, I feel a better person now, that Extra-Terrestrial object moving at immense speeds could of obliverated my life into a pile of ash, the luck, and feeling of aprasal I feel that I have survived a possible life-extinction cataclysmic event has shocked, and rivited my entire existance. knorwj 12-06-2005, 09:31 AM Get with the program people, the date formatthey are using are date/month/year so the article is dated Monday December 5th. Besides May 12 was a thursday. TS out I did actually think about that, however He posted it on the 4th so I didn't think the article would put the next days date on it. But after you said that I saw that he posted it at 10:30 at night on the 4th so I guess it could be for the next day. -Davo 12-06-2005, 10:11 AM To have the date as Shortest:Short:Not-so-short makes more sense than, short:Shortest:not-so-short. To have the day first, the fastest move of time, next to the month, the 2nd fastest (or slowest however you look at it), than the year. Days move, than months, than years. That's how Aussies do it, I know american's can't comprehend the extremely high level of intellegence requir3d to understand such a complicated algorythmic sequence of numbers, but it's ok, i <3 you the same. twospirits 12-06-2005, 10:11 AM You have to take in consideration the time zones. Edit: Damn Davo, I usually grasp things but that post of yours really left me out there. Bottom line the best application of posting a date is Year, Month, Date (yyyy/mm/dd) such as 2005/12/08, not only does it look better but it helps out sorting if one had too in a list. TS out dugie6551 12-06-2005, 10:54 AM My enitre life has change, I feel a better person now, that Extra-Terrestrial object moving at immense speeds could of obliverated my life into a pile of ash, the luck, and feeling of aprasal I feel that I have survived a possible life-extinction cataclysmic event has shocked, and rivited my entire existance. Does this mean you will be nicer to all of us in the future ? Damien 12-06-2005, 11:02 AM ^psht and thats all i have to say on that :p Heep 12-06-2005, 05:15 PM I didn't even know it happened. American news stations are getting way out of hand. Jimster 12-07-2005, 02:49 AM A comet could smash directly into the heart of Sydney and you'd still have the whole population of Australia sitting back with thier Fosters going "Strewth mayte, shee'll be roooight weeeeeeeth a leeeck a paint" So I hardly think an insignificant meteor is gonna phase them.
