the 1999 durango was having a no start problem replaced the fuel pump seemed to work fine for a few days then same problem thought the security system might be it took it completely out and it started again thought was fixed drove it for 2 days no it wont start again anybody know whats going on with this vehicle? thanks

if your "check engine light" is/was on, or it might work just to figure out if the computer has any codes relating to this stored. turn the key to on to the accesories position 3 times and on the third time look at you odometer, and if it is digital it may have a trouble code. if it gives you a trouble code figure out what it means, if you have a haynes manual it should have them in it. i know the one for out 2001 does. if that doesnt work for you, im sorry

Went out and started the thimg it started right up now drive it for 1-2 hours and the truck will die again and will have to wait a few days till it starts again.any ideas techs thanks

Put a new fuel pump relay in already replaced the fuel pump seems to be doing goo so far?Once again this thing wouldnt start banged on the relay box under the hood started right up again?For now any ideas?

Might be a bad computer or in the security system.I know Blue Streak America rebuilds them and it is a waste of money.All Blue streak needs is the vin and the mialage off the vehicle.Went throught last month,One would not start when after getting it back.Go with a reman computer from Chrysler and the vin has to be burned with Chrysler's factory scan tool,DRB III or with a Vetronix scan tool.An OTC scan tool or a Snap On scanner will not do it

Thanks for the info!Better try that my tech put another fuel pump in this thing a dodge one this time he thought maybe the aftermarket one was bad.Wrong answer this unit is sold and went out to bring it in and wash no start again.It had a dealer installed security system in it we took that out.started fine but the problem still exist.FFFing thing!so do you think replace the ecm or the bcm? let me know master techs!Thanks

I have had this same problem on my 2001. It would not startup unless I was stepping on the gas, and once it started, it would not idle. I found two threads here that pointed to the Throttle Position Sensor. You probably need to replace it. (About 38.00) However, there is a workaround that may get you through awhile. Simply disconnect the battery for a minute or two. This seems to reset the on board computer. Once I did this it started right up and ran fine. This was about two months ago. So far so good. Still have not replaced the sensor though.
