Hello all. I just totalled my '04 Colorado and I'm considering buying a 05 or 06 Tribute ("S" model). I have a few questions for any owners out there....

the obvious one...how do you like it? Any problems/issues?
Any options you wish you got or didn't get?
I'm looking for a low maintenance truck...does it have a timing belt or chain??? (looking at the V6 - 4x4).

Also, just wondering...what kind of tires do they come with?

Any other thoughts feel free...THANKS!

Later ones are the better ones.
The V6 uses a timing chain.
It is good for the money but is not that economical for mileage.
The gas tank is small, 13 gallons and 240 mile range before the light comes on.

Tires vary, I think Ford is using Continental in 05 and 06. Olders one have Firestone.
V6 models have 16 in. 235x70. Poor tire wear. I have 67K and four new tires, the Fronts wear out fast.

How about the new Toyota Tacoma trucks?

I ended up buying a Trailblazer. I test drove both (and an Xterra) and liked the trailblazer the best. Plus GM was offering a lot of incentives.
