I have a 1980 280Z and I love this car she is my girl "Dot" She is in decent shape but as you can imagine she has her issues to be 25 years old. Recently I started smelling fuel really strong today I was able to take a look under her and noticed that there is gas leaking from a component directly in front of the fuel pump. I am unsure what this part is and have checked my Chiltons book and think maybe this is the fuel damper??? Can someone please help me to know if I can bypass this part or is it crucial in her running properly. Thanks for your help..
