i am 6'5 and weigh 450 lbs.I own a 2001 Silverado ext cab. The problem I am having is that i can barley get the seat belt on. I have about 3 inches to lean forward. And have to take it off to back up. Besides stomach stapling surgery LOL is there any suggestions on increasing the length of the seatbelt without compromising its strength?

Seat Belt Extensioners. They attach to your belt end of the seatbelt and then you put the new extensioner end into the part near your waste. I beleive it gives you 6" or so. This was talked about when someone wanted the DIC to quit dinging when he was hunting without a seatbelt.

Go to the dealer and ask for the seatbelt extensioner. Good Luck

Go to the dealer and get an extension. They come in 9" and 15" and they are free.
