17x7.5+40 Offset F and 17x8+45 Offset R

That's what I have... my ADVAN's. Now what kind of tires... size should I get??? Keep in mind that this stuff is completely alien to me! I thought about Yokohama Parada 2's but also the Yokohama AVS ES100's... The Parada's are a little cheaper and come in sizes: 205/40WR17, 205/45WR17, and 215/40WR17 only... I don't really have my heart set on these particular tires but would like to stay with Yokohama's.... maybe the ES100's since they seem to have more size options.

Okay... I want to feel in the wheel well without having a big gap and without lowering. HELP!

225 front 245-255 rear.. at least... but don't get the tires larger than the original stock diameter, will mess up your speedo and slow your acceleration...

i would personally go with the ES100's. *see 300zxclub.com thread for reasons georgy*

Front - 225/45?/17
Rear - 245/40/17

the stock N/A wheels are 7.5" wide so stick with the 225mm wide and i bet you will want 45mm sidewall height but i would check on that first.

for the 8" wide you will want 245mm which will give you a wider track but more than likely you will have to go down the a 40mm sidewall height.

this is just assuming from my past experiences and comparisons. post on TT.net. some of theose guys will know exactly what you want and need.

yeah, front's would be 225/45/zr17 and the rears would be (if it was me) 275/35/zr17:evillol: or a more modest 255/40/zr17...

You could do the math this way. 1 inch equals 25.4mm a 225/40/17 tire is 225mm wide at its widest point and 40% of that from outside edge to inside edge and has a inner rim diamiter of 17inches. So a 225/45/17 would be good for all four tires, or you can go with 225/45/17 (Z rated or better, this includes W rated) on the front then put 235/40/17 on the rear. That should work out pretty good.

As for tire makes, I personally perfer BF-Goodrich G-Force TA KDW, for daily driver/track tires. Or if you are short on funds the BF-Goodrich G-Force TA Sports, they are a bit cheaper but to me have a horrible tracking tendancey. Dunlop makes some wide range of Z rated tires and so does Yoko.

he has 8" wide in the rear...he should go wider than that.

i already did the calculations for you Georgy...:D

yes and no...

225/45/zr17 and 245/40/zr17

ask the tire place you buy from to be sure...they will know the benefits and such.

wont the sidewalls crinkle if they are too wide? i doubt they will even fit on the wheel.

245's will fit fine on my stock wheels which are 16x7's... shouldn't see why they'd have a problem fitting 255's on a wheel an inch wider in width and diameter...

the wider you go the less size wall you would need to have. there is a give or take. you want a decent size sidewall with a decent size width.

the best performing tire i can put on a 18x9.5" wide wheel is 275mm with a 40mm sidewall.

275mm = 10.8inches, as much as you want to go over is 1.5 inches. 1.5 inches or else you will have to much overhang causing the tire to pinch under a load (ex. going around a turn)

255mm = 10.03 inches, thats over 2 inches of overhang. the onyl way to correct this is to go with a lesser sidewall. like 35mm sidewall...then your into a whole other set of problems that make it not practcal for a 300hp+ Twin Turbo automobile.

georgy, post on twinturbo.net and see what they recommend. Luke will hopefully respond. he works at tire rack...he is the one that told me the advantages and disadvantages of going with different combonitions of widths and sidewall heights.

i am pretty sure that you are gonna want to go with 225/45/17 and 245/40 or 45/17.

i would personally keep the same sidewall height in the rear as in the front. sidewall is just as important as width....
