On my 2005 CrewCab's trailer wiring harness, I'm trying to find where the fuse is for the +12v pin. I took a voltmeter to the 7-pin trailer harness at the +12v and -ve pins with no luck. Any suggestions?

hi I have a 01 gmc and all the fuses are under the hood next to your driver side fender.

I'm not familiar with the newer trucks but on my 96 there is a blue wire for trailer brakes and an orange wire for 12v feed. Neither one is connected to the fuse block. They stub out of the wiring harness beneath the brake booster and you connect them where you want.

Yours may be totally different but it may be worth looking.
