Broken Crank PullyNocturnall 12-01-2005, 08:29 AM Where can I buy a replacement crank pully for my 94 escort gt? Had it in the shop to get the alternator replaced....again....and they're saying the crank is bent/warped. Junkyard here doesn't have any 1.8l escorts. zx2srdotnet 12-01-2005, 03:09 PM look for an under drive pully for it, it replaces the crank pully w/ a smaller pully. will require you use a smaller belt will give you a little more power. ;-) Nocturnall 12-01-2005, 06:30 PM smaller belts, and any other ones available besides the $200 one on corksport.com? AzTumbleweed 12-03-2005, 12:27 PM Only $105? You must have got it on sale LOL! AzTumbleweed 12-03-2005, 12:29 PM Hmmmm, I wonder if we are not getting the bolt tight enough after replacing the timing belt? Better check mine out and get some loc-tite on it! zx2srdotnet 12-03-2005, 01:01 PM im not sure where to get them for the older scorts, for my zx2 i can get one for like $85 Davescort97 12-03-2005, 04:58 PM Only $105? You must have got it on sale LOL! Yep. $105 for the pulley and the timing ring. It went out on the road and I had it towed to the Ford place. I watched the guy put it on the next day and it took him about 15 minutes with an impact gun. They charged me for an hour of labor at $110.00 per. Oh well. Sometimes you just can't win. AzTumbleweed 12-04-2005, 08:09 AM I like my Escort but don't like the dealers. Excuse the analogy but it's like getting pussy from a woman you don't like :screwy: Davescort97 12-05-2005, 01:24 PM [QUOTE=AzTumbleweed]I like my Escort but don't like the dealers.
