2003 Acting UpFinchUsed 12-01-2005, 03:31 AM A while ago (and it's been a LONG WHILE ago) I posted about my car acting up. Now that there is snow on the ground I'm abit worried (and perhaps I should invest in a cell phone eh?). Alright here is the deal thus far. :banghead: My 03 Cavalier dies on average once every 2 weeks on average (though Im going to say its been about 3 now). It never dies when I am accelerating or maintaining a constant speed (a la cruise control or just a very steady foot) but there are times when I go to slow down or just as I come to a complete stop my car just dies. The battery and oil light comes on. Once I swore the Check Engine light came on, so naturally I went to my nearest Autozone to take advantage of the free code checking. Turns out my car hasn't thrown a code. When the car dies it starts right back up (except one time, but the 2nd attempt and it fired right up). I'm abit fustrated. I don't know that I care to have a mechanic trying to diagnose my baby because it seems like they always make you replace something and then the problem persists so you have to go there, again. Any ideas. I've had her for less than 2 months and it'd be great to have her running perfectly before spring so I can start getting some mods in when spring gets here. I'll get those pictures I promised up eventually, I promise (again). Thanks in advance guys! PsychoJJ 12-01-2005, 01:31 PM Have you had to replace your IAT sensor yet? FinchUsed 12-01-2005, 04:44 PM No. I've thought about doing that though. I figure it can't hurt to give that a try. How much do you think one will run me? Around 30 bucks maybe? FinchUsed 12-05-2005, 01:54 AM I hope bumping is allowed. Bump. I'm up to 100 posts! 2 stars! Yay! :smokin: PsychoJJ 12-05-2005, 06:30 AM No more then $20. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
