Which Lift Kit and wheel/tire combo?sincityz71 11-29-2005, 09:04 PM I have a Silver 02 ext cab Z71 that I want to put Nitto Terra Grappler 325/60/18 (33" I think)on Weld Racing Dune 18x10's. IYO-Which 6" lift kit is best and why? Also, I do not like the "up in front" look I see on some trucks. I want mine to retain a sight "jacked up" profile. What should I do about that? I don't want to spend more than 3K on the lift. The guy at the 4x4 shop says Pro Comp or Fabtec depending on what I want, honestly I have no idea. I just know what I want it to look like. I should say that it will be a daily driver on 99% city steets. Anyone else have that size of rims or tires care to comment? I appreciate any input you guys might have. I need to make a decision quick to get stuf going while I have the cash. People are usually quick to help out, but being the holidays I guess were all busy. There are some very good GM efficionados here (GM gurus) and I am sure one will chime in soon. I am a new GM owner, so I am afraid I cannot be of any help, but hold tight and the regulars will be here to help you!! Good Luck!! jeverett 11-30-2005, 08:11 AM I've heard really good things about the Superlift F.I.T. kit. Check it out on their website, and also check out www.gmfullsize.com (http://www.gmfullsize.com) they have tone of members with lifted trucks that will be glad to share their opinion with you. DustinTM 11-30-2005, 01:55 PM I have heard some negitive things about superlift for IFS vehicles. However I have never had any experience with superlift. When I went with my lift I chose RCD which in my opinion makes a supurb lift. About your question about the nose being high...that can be adjusted with the torsion bars. Here is a pic of mine with a 6" RCD suspension and 315/75/16 (35") tires. Some bumper trimming was required. http://photobucket.com/albums/c241/DustinM/?action=view¤t=IMG_0908.jpg airjam18 11-30-2005, 04:04 PM The new superlift F.I.T. is pretty trick and its actually really good quality compared to the old superlift kits. I would still, however, recommend a full-drop kit like procomp, cognito or cst. I myself have the 6" procomp and my only regret is not getting a bigger kit like the cognito or full throttle kits. 6" kits used to be considered big but are now fairly small. 9.5" and 12" kits have become increasingly popular lately and seem to be growing even more. sincityz71 11-30-2005, 08:25 PM I have heard some negitive things about superlift for IFS vehicles. What kind of inserts do you have in your grill, They look sweet! DustinTM 11-30-2005, 08:36 PM Thanks Dustin and that is a great looking truck! What kind of inserts do you have in your grill, They look sweet! To be honest I can not remember what kind of billet grill it is. I got it off Ebay about 3 years ago. It cost about 80 bucks if I remember right. At the time i was not too impressed with it because it attached to the factory grill with zipties. But so far so good. DustinTM 11-30-2005, 08:41 PM I dont have a real great picture of the grill and my digi camera is broken. http://i28.photobucket.com/albums/c241/DustinM/IMG_0902.jpg sincityz71 11-30-2005, 09:12 PM That's a cool pic! I've seen mesh inserts but they are not flat like yours. I like yours, if you can remember where you got it, let me know.
