Are there any sites with a suggested upgrade path?

For example, Eclipses have DSMtuners.com, which contains a tuning guide. Is there one for Trans Ams?

Also, about how much is it to supercharge the LS1, and what kits/superchargers are considered best?

Thanks.. I'm considering buying a Trans Am next year but know absolutely nothing about them.. going from imports and turbos to muscle and superchargers brings some major differences.

you can still turbo LS1s. might be better...? good job =) domestic market needs help.. =P

Yes I know you can, but in my opinion it's 4 cyl = turbo, 8 cyl = super.

ProCharger for the LS1 runs about $5400 plus install. Can't run much boost either...compression is 10.1:1 stock.
LS1's love nitrous. They also like turbo's.

Super's like high comp, or low comp? Could always change the compression..

Never played around with NOS but don't really like the concept.. short burst of power.. besides, you gotta keep refilling the bottle. Not to mention direct port is expensive.

Any boost prefers lower compression.

Kinda what I figured but never played around with super chargers before.. so even if I went turbo I'd still have to do internal work to lower compression and strengthen the rods, pistons, etc, right?

A stock LS1 can take about 7-8 PSI from a supercharger. Should make right around 500 RWHP.
Bottom end of the motor is good to about 550 RWHP, which you can get to with some bolt-ons and a blower.
After 550 RWHP though...then it comes time to start upgrading the internals.
