I have an 01 Xterra, auto, 2wd, 68K miles; recently I have been having tranny problems. While driving the car is fine in first and second but shifting from seond to third is ruff. I have to press the accelerator pretty hard to get it to shift and once in third, i twon't shift up into anything else. While driving like this I will get to about 3500-4500 rpms and then the rpm's start to run high but I don't accelerate. I took it to Autozone to scan the comp. and it comes up P0325 (knox sensor) and P0744 (torqu converter clutch circuit). Could these be the cause of all my problems because AAMCO wants $2000-2500 to replace the tranny. If it is just a torque converter can't I just replace that for less?
