governor on a 94 cavalierStanzadriver90 11-28-2005, 01:49 PM How do i either remove or bypass the governor shutoff of 106 mph in my 94 cavalier? Stanzadriver90 11-28-2005, 02:06 PM and so you guys know i'm not removing it to race on the street i do it on a closed track in illinois PsychoJJ 11-28-2005, 03:37 PM Depends on what all you have done cause unless you think you can go that fast and I doubt that highly its just pointless. :loser: ImSoYesterday 11-28-2005, 03:38 PM What kind of track? If you know how to get a Cavi to do 106 in the quarter, you know how to remove the VSS. Or have I said too much? KustmAce 11-28-2005, 04:17 PM If you know how to race and build a race car you should know how to bypass the governor. OverAllComa 11-28-2005, 11:20 PM If you know how to race and build a race car you should know how to bypass the governor. x2. Stanzadriver90 11-29-2005, 12:25 PM i take it on the closed track to see how fast i can get it, they open the track to legal street cars every wednesday and thursday from 2 till 10 pm ImSoYesterday 11-29-2005, 06:40 PM *slaps forehead* CCLaguna 11-29-2005, 08:49 PM The governor really isn't that hard to remove, just VERY time-consuming. You shouldn't need to remove it and it's illegal to do so anyways. Unless you know how to do it already, then don't learn unless you have a professional show you how too. I'm pretty sure we aren't supposed to tell you on here anyways. Read the rules. EDIT: O, nvm..wow...look at this: Removing the Governor If you know how, and someone asks, feel free to explain. There has been a change in the stance of the AF Management, and it has been deemed acceptable to discuss it. 01Cavy 11-29-2005, 10:05 PM What kind of track? If you know how to get a Cavi to do 106 in the quarter, you know how to remove the VSS. Or have I said too much? If this isn't a *HINT* then I don't know what is! Chevy4life1985 11-30-2005, 12:23 PM Some people just dont get it. CCLaguna 11-30-2005, 02:11 PM Wouldn't removing it cause the speedometer to not work at all or mess up the ECU? ImSoYesterday 11-30-2005, 04:42 PM Is it a quartermile track!? Because if it is and you are going 106, then you know how to do it! Classicrocjunkie 12-01-2005, 10:33 PM Cut the purple wire....
