I've got a 1975 280 5 speed. Currently in the building stages of being a bre car. Slowly aquireing the Jap parts for the police package.

please note the screwed up hood which i noticed after coming out of walmart. i guess someone backed a trailer hitch into my hood. i have a replacement hood for it, but not painted or installed yet. also not installed the front airdam

yeah i only know of like 3 other members on here that have one that post here and there... i'm sure 90% of the other members want one too lol... i know i do..

Are you going stock hood or fiber-glass? Looks to be in good order... a co-worker of mine has a 280Z that I've been trying to get him to sell for the longest! What mods are you planning?

that's too bad about the hood but it's good you've got another one... what do you plan on doing about the bumper and such?

better yet, what are the plans mod wise for everything lol

i know some guys that have CF hoods, but sooo expensive. i got two hoods for 50 bucks. one has the vents in it. not a big fan of those, but might prevent some vapor lock.

anyway mods are as follows:

upgrade to eibach springs (coil overs)
install type III Airdam
already installed ram air/cold air intake
upgraded various electronic parts (ign, alt, vr, plugs, wires, etc)

body mods and paint. here is a pic of the paint scheme ive got going.

that's going to look pretty cool.. sounds like it's going to be a pretty clean car... planning on keeping it n/a?

Pretty sweet. Personally I think the L28E isn't that bad of NA engine...

Thats my Z, Its getting new rails and a fuel cell box at the moment, so far i have ZG flairs and an MSA airdam. Engine is a mild 350, still building it up, i have a Holset Turbo from a Cummins that im thinking about installing....still dont know.

What's involved with the police package? Never heard of that.

I want a 240...I wanna put my VG30ET in one when I'm done building it...:biggrin:

well...same motor with soem N/A adjustments. a light bar from a police supplier some computer additions, a short shifter, larger tires, and a paint job. go check out Japans Z Police Force!!! mostly 240Z or 260Z's

Ya know...I made that post a few hrs ago and, after thinking about it, I HAVE to put that engine BACK into a Z31. I'm a Z31 guy. It's really the only right thing to do. Sure, it's not as light, but they're still only around 3000 lbs...not really heavy but a BEAST compared to the ~2500 lb 240Z. It's all good...it's still lighter than the new Z06 which is my goal to beat and with my power goals being WAY above the Z06, I shouldn't have any problems beating them.
