A little advice (mirrors)music 11-27-2005, 06:57 PM I have a 2004 Silverado LS Extended cab. At this time I have the power heated outside mirrors. I want to install the folding, heated, Turn Signal, Auto dim with puddle light mirrors (OEM) on my truck. I do have the steering wheel with the information system. My questions are Will I need a new harness? Will I need a different door control module? Will there need to be a reflash from the dealer to make this work? Thanks for your advice. music jethro_3 11-27-2005, 09:15 PM 1) yes. 2) yes, the square controller is different. 3) yes. When I bought my truck they changed the mirror control module, the wire harness, the mirrors and the BCM was reprogrammed. Well worth it. :evillol: HanibalTheCannibal 11-27-2005, 09:30 PM I would love to have the folding mirror optio on my 2001 LS. Is that possible? jethro_3 11-27-2005, 10:26 PM If I can find the company again they make a replacement folding mirror that has a switch you need to cut in and also has turn signals. THey give you choices like heated, turn signals, extending, folding. I installed a set of extending camper mirros with turn signals for my brother, 4 hours and 2 beer breaks.... Instead of going factory you can go aftermarket and save a lot of $$$$. Easy to install. Just need to find a power wire, and the turn signal wires under the dash. The rest of the wiring goes to the switches supplied. jethro_3 11-27-2005, 10:47 PM Called my brother and found it... Power Vision Mirrors (http://www.powervisionmirrors.com/models_specs_04.html) Check the listings, they have a lot of different years and types of mirrors to fit your desires... Good Luck!!! :smokin: HanibalTheCannibal 11-28-2005, 12:13 AM Called my brother and found it... Good Luck!!! :smokin: Thanx!! PS I was thinking more about "folding" rather than "extending" mirrors so that you can park in a single garage, or go into narrow drive throughs like banks, burger joints etc etc. Any thoughts on that? jethro_3 11-28-2005, 03:48 AM Talk to them, I am pretty sure you can install the folding mirrors with a little wiring. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
