ive got a 91 escort gt 1.8l motor and 5spd tranny swapped into my ford festiva and everything is complete and hooked up... all i have left is to refill the MANUAL tranny with the ATF that is called for in the book... only problem is, i broke the speedo cable stuff and i removed the speed sensor and all i seem to have for a hole to put tranny fluid in through is a 1/8th inch hole the needle for the sensor sat into...

is there supposed to eb more that comes out like in a festiva transmission where everything and a gear comes out and then you have about a 5/8" hole to use to fill with... or is there another way to fill the EGT tranny?

there is a speedometer in the top of the transitions bell and u undo 1 bolt and pop it out then you fill it till it is even with the gear (use it as a dip stick) and u have to get under the car to do it. ya it is the only way to do it and the best way to do it is with funnel attached to a hose just about 2 feet and make sure there is no threads on the end that goes in to the hole or it wont fit. i had to do it on my car it is a real bi*** of a time. good luck with that buddy
