OverBoardProject 11-24-2005, 12:29 PM I've had the gear problem with mine, and I know what cured mine. My shifter hit my key ring which it turn sometimes kills the ignition for a moment. The fix for me could have ben change my key ring, but I ended up adding a couple of mure keys which also cured the problem duarte_ryb 11-24-2005, 03:02 PM i will check that. usahockey 11-26-2005, 12:24 PM If that doesn't work, I'd be willing to bet that it is your fuel pump. I have a 97 that is having the exact same problem (sometimes no start, sometimes it starts after 3 or more tries, sometimes the engine dies when I but it in gear). No column shifter here though. The pump would work intermittently so I'm in the the middle of changing it right now. Just have to wait till the wife gets back with the other car so I can go get a part. Also, any problems with your fuel gauge? What year is your Blazer? duarte_ryb 11-30-2005, 10:37 AM let me nkow if you fix the problem. BlazerLT 11-30-2005, 10:46 AM What year is this? usahockey 12-03-2005, 11:04 PM Well duarte guess what. It didn't work. And today I got a new problem to go along with the others... The Blazer shut off for about a second (no dash lights) and then the dash lights came on + the air bag light and buzzer while driving home, twice within 10 seconds. The first time was right after using the turn signal. After going through old threads I am now thinking it is an ignition switch problem. It seems to be a re-occuring theme with the 97 Blazer. I'm not sure if that holds true for yours (96 4D 4x4). But, I am sure one of the gurus here could answer that one. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
