I have a 1997 SE Eric I believe it does have to be taken apart. And i wouldnt try it myself. I had a friend who tried to replace an airbag and it inflated and broke his arm in 3 places. If you do do it on your own be careful...and good luck. xeroinfinity 11-24-2005, 07:33 AM 97' shouldnt hav to remove the dash. work from under it or throught the glove box i believe, but it can be activated if you dont take precautions. Like disconnect the battery and pull the air bag fuse(just to be sure), install the AB , then after its installed plug in power last, then replace fuse, hook up battery and pray its right and dont go off. Good luck, and Happy Thanksgiving. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
