My 1997 Grand Voyager SE has a problem with the instrument cluster. The fan speed switch works (all speeds and off) but all the others don't (temperature setting, direction of air (foot, front, defrost, etc) as well as the buttons (rear defrost, wipers, etc) I have removed the panel and checked for loose wiring, and the panel illuminated sometimes. When working, all the lights would flash and be erratic. I tried the procedure of resetting the panel, but it gets stuck at the last few steps. Should I just bite the bullet and get a new panel, or is there still something I can do to save the one I have ? The plug from the harness shows indication of melting , but I'm not sure if its from the panel, or from the harness. Any advice would help.
