When I crank up my ride I hear some funny whinning noise from the left side of the engine and when I drive down the road when the engine shifts the noise shifts with it. Has anyone had this problem? Please gimme some advice.

If you actually mean the left side of the car (when you are driving), that's where everything driven by the serpentine belt lives. My money would be on the alternator.
