The police are lying & stealing and I told them so ...

As I monitor the traffic and linking to my Web site, I found an interesting thing this morning. I host a page that records the deaths of people while driving MR2s.

The Danver (Mass) Police department not only was stealing my badnwidth by using one of my images, but worse ... they are lying about the context of the crash! They implied the accident involved alcohol which it did not!

... so I called a spade a spade and pointed out their mistakes:

I hope they see my edit and rethink how they are building their Web site.

J&H,

It's nothing new. Government at all levels is out of touch with the reality of life. They believe, simply because they SAY it, it must be true. The local governments are taking their ques from the Feds.

Examples:

Jessica Lynch (Feds lie about the entire incident)

Pat Tillman (killed by "friendly fire", claimed a "hero", all lies). No offense intended to Mr. Tillman and his family, as he truly was a good man.

WMDs (If can see my shop and house from Google, I KNOW they could track any and everything they want)

Global warming (Fed says it doesn't exist, yet they cannot explain the weather changes all around the world...)

Marijuana laws (and the excuses they use to perpetuate them)

CCA (Corrections Corporation of America) who lobbies HARD for an increase in penalties for marijuana, even though ALL evidence points to it (marijuana) being much less dangerous or harmful than alcohol. They (CCA) make their money from running prisons. Pot-heads are a whole lot easier to deal with than criminals that actually HURT people.

Mandetory insurance laws (lobbied for BY insurance companies, radar guns DONATED by insurance companies, drastic rate increases for "violators")

State-run liquor stores (in many states, the state government sells alcohol for profit) In Virginia recently, they announced a raft of new DUI laws, including "zero tolerance" (a VERY unConstitutional ideal). On the very same day, they also announced longer hours and open on Sunday, for the state liquor stores. On a "side note" here, one can drive to Maryland, where liquor stores are privately owned and operated, yet cost to purchase is lower. So, not only are they "controlling" the distribution, they're making a TON of money on it (price gouging).

POWs are not POWs, they're "terrorists", so it's okay to throw all our beliefs and honor to the wind.

See a pattern forming here? Of course, we're all a bunch of dumb sheep, and can't see this... Re-elect NOBODY!!!

Jim

lol ... I just e-mailed a reporter for the Boston Globe:

Hello Brenda,
First off, let me apologize if sending this e-mail to an inappropriate party.
I found your e-mail address here: http://danverspolice.org/ticketarticle2005.htm
and thought you might find what I have to say interesting.
The Danvers Police Department created a "do not drink and drive photo essay" and has it published on their Web site. Although preventing drinking & driving is a noble message, I find it appalling that the Department is stealing bandwidth from across the world wide web and using images that are inappropriate to their message.
I found their Site because they are "using" an image from my personal Web site without permission.
I have since "edited" the photo they are linking to. It now reflects my concerns.

You can see the edited version on their site here:
http://danverspolice.org/dwipics.htm
I wonder how long it will take them to see the message?
What kind of message does it send when a Police agency steals bandwidth and lies about the images they are sharing.

Fuck the police...Especially the hot ones...man, theres somtin bout a hottie in uniform that just...damn.

Seriously, I used to wanna be a cop, but then I realised that 90% of cops are either

A)The jocks from highschool who had nothing better to do than pick on the smaller guys, but soon realised that their tallent had no real world skills, and that in college, no one is gonna do your shit for you, so they failed out and became cops so they could continue to bully people, this time with the so called "law" on their side, or
B)The kids who always got picked last for dodgeball, and got picked on or made fun of, and no one liked them and they had zero freinds, so now they feel the need to be the big bad powerful guy, but it was to late for them to shoot up their highschool becuase they are 28 and living at home and still look at fury porn, so they became a cop

Find something with nudity AND beer!!! :iceslolan

Tell them in the message that the accident wasn't because of drunk driving.

Either way, I doubt anyone goes to their local police website. I didn't even know there was such a thing :cwm27:

Awesome, awesome response! I love it! And it's so great that it's the first picture on the page.

So how much did the Sheriff have to drink in this accident? :p

I'm not surprised, I've been telling people that cops and media lie about the truth of the accidents and turn them into shit they are not as in this case.
Around here is someone under 25 crashes a sporty looking car automatically its called "street racing fatality". I actually knew a guy who went out, got piss drunk and then killed himself in his mom's Vette, the next day it was all over the newspapers. "street race kills teen".

I'm glad you nailed them on this one man, you desserve a AF award for outstanding representation of the automotive enthusiest community.

Why do American cops have to be assholes like this when they could be like this one...

 I'm sure the Sheriff's dept. will say that the officer died in the line of duty, while trying to apprehend someone that was under the influence. The government is becoming increasingly corrupt lately, and it doesn't appear that they are being monitored in the slightest. MrPbody mades some very valid points.

Good investigation skills J&H.

anyone take a screen shot of the police's web shot before they killed it?

JekylandHyde
11-19-2005, 01:56 PM
I do not have a screen shot of it, but it basically had a big "don't and drink" paragraph that stated all of the photos on the page were "from drunk driving accidents across the country."

The FIRST photo was one from my site.
I edited it for it to more appropriate.

This is the edited photo that was showing up on their site:

They didn't, if you read the link to that article. It was the story told by the actual Officer about what happened. The jist of it is, that some plastered dude just hit him head on while he was driving normally.

He survived, but was seriously hurt.
