I'd suggest the following:

1- have a good book handy, such as a GM service manual, haynes, etc...

2- If you can, today, tonight, etc. soak the bolts on your exhaust manifold with a good penetrating oil. also the exhaust bolts on the base of the manifold/ head pipe. anything you think you'll have to remove. Give them good coatings, and do it a couple of times. allow it to soak overnight and then hit it again as soon as you wake up tomorrow.

You want to help dissolve any rust/ siezing etc of the bolts so they don't break. If they do, then it becomes a real mess.

try not to drive the car while you're letting the oil soak in.

Other than that, follow the book procedures and you should be fine.

good luck!
