'94 Q45 Gas smellbradyb 11-17-2005, 08:23 PM i noticed it last winter and now that it is getting cold again its gotten worse any suggestions? Texasoil 02-18-2006, 01:05 PM the high pressure fuel line is leaking where it connects to the metal fuel line. Check the ones under the intake manifold at the right rear of the engine--those seem to be most offenders. It seems the metal line contracts (reduced diameter) enough to allow leakage if th eclamp is not tight enough. It's a real PITA to get to these clamp--may have to remove top of intake manifold to accomplish--check to find the leak point first--use inspection mirrors as required on cold start -up vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
