2001 grand am not turning over

I woke up this morning and tried to start my car and wouldn't start. It wants to turn over, but nothing after. I tried a couple of times and when I pressed on the gas pedal, it finally started. Ran good after that, then I got to work, turned it off and tried again. Same result. This just starting happening today. Any suggestions on what this might be?? Thanks for the help.

I had the same problem and had to replace the fuel pump.
