Silverado stalling...at idle, runs great down highwayGAT 11-17-2005, 07:25 AM Little help please. My 2001 Silverado 2500 HD runs great on highway or when motor is revved, however it wants to simply die at an idle/stop light. Funny thing is when it dies my radio stations and clock rest or default as well...suspect battery or alternator...any thoughts???? Gat jeverett 11-17-2005, 08:11 AM I would suspect a bad alternetor and really weak battery. Sounds like the charging system can't keep up with the comptuer's needs. Thank you for replying Bob B 11-18-2005, 10:13 AM I did that yesterday all is well, actually went to Chevy dealership...no defects found anywhere...working well right now all is normal. Thank you for replying It might have been a bad connection at one of the battery posts and they fixed it or just moved it and got a good connection. I would check the posts for corrosion and tighten the little bolts. Bob B vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
