ok have seen these on 180sx before and was wondering where i can get some.....i saw the ones on takiara for like 1200 but thats a little too rich for my blood. Does anyone know where i can pick up a stylish clean looking fixed head lamp conversion for my 1990 240?

Something once great is now so ugly. Everyone's doing the conversion, a bit of a headlamp for what? A S-LOAD OF CASH. I've seen very few done nicely, one for instance.....This

A fixed headlight like those grim lights will shave a lot of weight right? I'm looking for a cheaper alternative as well.

um your totally wrong there bucko. 300zx style...as in the abflug kit, and the discontinued veilside kit. It looks clean.

and everyone is doing the conversion?? Iv never seen one with my own eye's. I really dont like it never did, but it would still be cool to see i guess. And you sound like your talking like it used to be cool to do it, but now that its more popular its dumb? Kind of like the whole 240 scene now??? every rice cake and there grandma wants one. Do you fit in there?? i dont know. When did you hear of a 240sx? when the drift scene hit big?? check yo' self before you wreck yo'self.

and no it wont shave ALOT of weight. It would shave like 5 lbs. so you'll run a 17.9999990 instead of a 18.0.

you just gotta be critical about everything i say...Of COURSE i only learned about nissan when drifting got big. Lots have and BECAUSE it got big, drifting is in no way rare to nissan owners, let alone s15 conversions. now sileighty conversion still goes strong because it makes sense but the s15 lights are being made with poor quality to make money..wow tonight's theme is being ripped off LOL. Back on topic, the fenders and the hood had to be made custom for the s15 1999+ lights and we all know the sileighty parts come from s13 and are interchangeable with 180sx.

For the last time, it doesn't matter WHEN you got interested in something, it's how much damn research you've done on it. research that dates back to before drifting got big.

dude its all the same.....once great and now ugly. How could it be great then..but ugly now. SAME THING!!! contradiction in you. And the point here is, this is all personal opinions. It may be great to someone NOW, as opposed to then. It was great then because it was rare, and people were like o damn thats different. Just like a new trend. Like back in the day pet rocks were great, and now there stupid. But some little kid out there may love pet rocks today. So yea, research means shit on personal opinion items.

Alright, then I'll level with you, If I got the s15 conversion it would be for the special projectors it comes with. I think those are handy

Someone please tell us where to get cheap fixed headlights. In MY personal opinion, the 300zx is a great car but THAT is ugly, those light freak me out...imo :p

cheap would be self made.

and lots of people didnt just hear about nissan because of drifting lol. Lots of people have only heard about 240's because drifting got big. Nissan has a nice racing heritage. Its just at the time, super street was all about honda. Now its all about nissan. Kind of like the trend thing i just stated eh??? see it all comes together.

Ja if you're still here on AF, I found a good thread on Zilvia forums

http://www.zilvia.net/f/showthread.php?t=25412

And I WAS right about them being grim lights, didn't think I was wrong, the grim lights(rectangular) are made by ab flug, and sell on Takakaira and the East Bear are formed into the shape of two holes(circular) with the lights placed in them.

If there isn't a cheaper ab flug kit i'm going to weigh the cost of the s15 conversion to the grim light kit.
Final Note:
You suckers got me interested in s15 again, which will never be brought to the states...EVER!!! I'll have to move to japan or some other left hand drive 200sx country...

How do the S15 lights get cheaply made? They are OEM Nissan.....

Oh and the Signal S13.5 is the only time the conversion was that done and it didn't end up sucking ass, all other S15 conversions suck, including all S14.5 conversions.

Alright so far, we have the Ab flug lights with rectangular lenses that cost 1200, so says taka kaira but currency calc says it's 1100

The Cecil Sport lights with circle lenses that cost 1000, neither of these include shipping to the US, but i'm sure they're worth it. They look good.

I compared the S15 conversion and Chargespeed sells the D1 conversion fender and headlights for 1200, ...but you still need to buy an s15 hood and front bumper, which you could subtract the cost of buying a fastback hood and bumper. All in all..you get cool fenders with the s15 conversion lol so the fixed headlights cost more, IF you planned on buying all new parts for your front end. I wonder if they make CF or metal s15-conversion fenders..

Can someone else chime in with a good current sileighty conversion setup?

I only went through this because I was bored, enjoy
